Detailed Itinerary

This tour of the South Valley in Cusco takes place in the morning every day from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM approximately. This is an alternative tour, where we will be able to observe landscapes of great natural beauty, and ancestral architecture. We will visit the Complex Archaeological of Tipon, of Inca architecture, The citadel of Pikillacta of pre-Inca Wari architecture, and Andahuaylillas beautiful chapel of Colonial architecture, known as the "Sistine Chapel of America"; not to mention the delicious cuisine along the way.

We begin our pick up from your hotels between 08:30 a.m. to 09:00 a.m. Then we head southwest of the city of Cusco, where we will visit TIPON an archaeological centre from the Inca period, where an exceptional irrigation system can be seen with vertical and horizontal irrigation channels on terraced terraces, the water flows from the subsoil to a source from which it is distributed through the aforementioned channels. It was an important centre of agricultural production. 

Then we will go to PIKILLACTA It is currently known as one of the most famous and best preserved cities of the pre-Inca period in Peru and has an area of ​​approximately 50 hectares. The word PIKILLACTA comes from two Quechua words PIKI (flea or small) LLACTA (town) and its translation could be Flea Town or Small Town. In Pikillacta we can see stone walls of pre-Inca origin and one of the most important cities of the Wari culture.

We will finally meet ANDAHUAYLILLAS which is part of the Colonial Art Route of America due to its beautiful woodwork, gorgeous paintings and colonial decorations. We return to the city of Cusco where our tour ends at approximately 1:00 p.m., thus ending this tour to the Southern Valley of Cusco.
