We leave Cusco and head to the charming town of Mollepata. We take advantage of some free time in Mollepata to enjoy a delicious breakfast.
We arrive at Soraypampa and begin our exciting hike to the Humantay lagoon. During the journey there is free time to enjoy the magnificent landscape and capture photographs of the imposing snow-capped mountains.
We begin our return to Soraypampa and prepare to board our transport. Then, we return to Mollepata to enjoy a quiet lunch and relax.
Finally, we return to the city of Cusco. We end our experience in the main square or Plaza Regocijo.

The trip begins at your hotel in Cusco, our transfer will visit you very early between 04:00 and 05:00 in the morning, we will make a trip of approximately two and a half hours by car to the town of Mollepata which is located in the province of Anta, where we can have a delicious breakfast and stock up on necessary provisions.
After breakfast we will continue our trip for an hour and a half by car, the road we will take is dirt (trail) until we reach the community of Soraypampa which is located at an altitude of 3900 m.a.s.l. During the trip we will see beautiful landscapes and the impressive snow-capped mountain "Salkantay".
From Soraypampa we will undertake a 2 km walk. The path is ascending and will take us about 1 hour and a half to two hours. While we walk we will see a panorama of snow-covered mountains, impressive natural landscapes and a great diversity of flora and fauna until we reach the “Humantay Lagoon” which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level.
The “Humantay Lagoon” is turquoise in color due to the mineral found at the bottom and you can see the sky reflected in its waters, the lagoon is fed by the mountain glaciers and is considered a jewel of nature, in addition to delighting in the Humantay lagoon we can enjoy the impressive views of the mountains that surround it such as the Salkantay snow-capped mountain, considered the most sacred snow-capped mountain in the times of the Incas, an ancient space in honor of the Pachamama, Mother Earth.
Once you arrive at the lagoon, you can be part of the ceremony by placing stones to thank you for your arrival at this magical place. Our guide will accompany you through the lagoon and tell you other interesting facts. After our visit, we will walk down to the community of Soraypampa where we will board our transport to Mollepata where we can enjoy a delicious Andean lunch.
After lunch we will begin the return trip to the city of Cusco. Our tour ends at approximately 6:30 pm, thus ending our 1-day hike to the Humantay lagoon.
