  • PermissionsAs soon as we receive your details and a deposit, we will purchase your travel permits. They cannot be changed once confirmed. Only updating or modifying your passport number is allowed. The permit includes one entrance to the citadel of Machu Picchu.

  • After visiting Machu Picchu, you will receive a bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguascalientes. The return train from Aguascalientes will be the Expedition Train class and this service is included in your itinerary. If you wish to upgrade your train service, you also have the option to upgrade to the Vistadome train class for an additional $75 per train. one person. Upon arrival at the train station, you will be taken back to your hotel in Cusco.

  • Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain)
    Huayna Picchu is the mountain located on the north side of Machu Picchu. To reach the top you will have to take a 45-minute hike, which will start from a dense forest followed by a climb up stairs. These stairs prove to be a challenge for those who like heights. If you are not afraid of heights then you can do this hike after your tour of Machu Picchu. The additional cost is $75. Reservations must be made at least one month in advance, due to the popularity of this place. Lastly, we must ask you for a little understanding about the weather which is no longer part of our control.

Summary Itinerary

We will start early, We will pick you up at the hotel with our private transport. You will have an impressive journey to the beginning of the best known as Inca trail KM 82, where you will see spectacular views of the Andes along the way. You will need to show your passport at the checkpoint, the first two and a half hours of hiking will begin. The route will be very flat until you reach the Inca site of Llactapata, where you will experience for the first time the Inca culture and learn about the history of Peru and much more. It will be another hour and a half until we reach the lunch stop and after lunch we will walk for another 2 hours until we reach the first night's camp in Ayapata at (3300 masl). On the final stretch we will pass through two small communities where you can buy energy drinks, snacks or any essential things you may have forgotten to buy, as well as charge batteries and other devices. Later we will arrive at the camp at 17.00 hours. Relax in the afternoon with a hot drink or a snack with a team of porters, cooks and guides. Finally, at 7:30 p.m. a delicious dinner will be prepared for you in the evening and after dinner you will have a well-deserved rest.

Prepare for the day, followed by a nutritious breakfast and at 6:15 am we will begin walking towards the highest elevation of the Inca Trail; Dead Woman's Pass (Warmiwañuska) which is located at (4,215 masl).

We then ascend for more than four hours, passing through different microclimates and admiring incredible landscapes and spectacular views of the mountains. Now that we are on this part of the route, the hike is a bit more difficult as we will find more altitude. So we take a short break and then reach the top where a porter awaits you with a cup of hot tea while you enjoy the moment.

The next hike takes an hour and a half, but this time it is downhill, until you reach the lunch spot. After your meal, you will have another four hours of walking and resting until you reach the Chaquicocha Camp, where you can visit two beautiful archaeological sites; Finally, you will enjoy dinner and get a good rest.

We'll start early again! You'll be woken up with a hot cup of tea, followed by breakfast, before we begin the two-hour hike to the final pass of Phuyupatamarca, at 3,680 metres above sea level. From this stretch we have wonderful views of the Vilcabamba Mountains and the impressive Salkante Mountains before continuing for three hours until we reach our campsite.

We will then visit two archaeological sites; Phuyupatamarca (city above the clouds) and Intipata (solarium). In these places you will enjoy different types of plants, flowers and birds of the forest. After lunch, a five-minute walk to Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young), the most beautiful Inca site on the Inca Trail.

Along the way, this place is filled with impressive buildings and attractions. Then, around 5:30 p.m., you will return to camp for one last happy hour and dinner.

On the fourth day, we will have breakfast at 4am, then head to the checkpoint and walk for an hour to the Sun Gate, where you will have a fascinating view, as you will see the majestic Machu Picchu for the first time. Meanwhile, photograph the place as you walk for another hour until you reach the archaeological site.

Upon arrival at the entrance, you will head to the Machu Picchu checkpoint where your passport will be stamped and your guide will take you through the Machu Picchu archaeological complex. Two hours to understand the majesty of this place.

After the tour, you will have time to go on your own and, if you have previously arranged the trek to Huayna Picchu, you can begin your tour. Depart Machu Picchu around 13:30 and take a bus to Aguascalientes where you can have lunch.

Finally, be ready to take the train to Aguas Calientes at 14:55 or return to Ollantaytambo or Poroy Cusco station at 15:20 (subject to availability). We will take you back to your hotel at 19:00 or 20:00.
